It looks like Gold 905 DJ Mike Kasem's family just got a little bigger.

The 46-year-old jock and his TV presenter wife, Su-Ann Heng, welcomed a baby boy on June 25, but only announced the news on their socials on Sunday evening (June 28).

“Ladies and gentlemen… Making his first appearance on the world stage… Please welcome Casey Patrick Kasem! Su-Ann, you were amazing my love! I have come to learn labour is not easy,” the proud father wrote on IG. He also posted snaps of him, his wife, and their newborn baby.

“Say hello to our brand new addition, Casey Patrick Kasem. It’s been quite a journey so far, but wouldn’t have it any other way. Our hearts are so full, and we are so in love. I can’t stop smiling. Thank you hubby, you did so well supporting me and holding my hand through what was a long and brutal delivery,” the ex-professional golfer said.

When Mike spoke to 8days.sg earlier today (June 30), he shared that Su-Ann gave birth via emergency C-section after a “long labour” which lasted “22 hours”.

“We really wanted a natural [birth]. However, she was only seven cm dilated after 18 hours [of labour]. We needed to get to 10cm dilation, but it was going too slow. We started to realise that she might need an emergency C-section and prepared ourselves for it, so there wasn’t a shock. Everything’s fine now that it’s all done and Su-Ann had no issues with it,” Mike explained, adding that he has newfound respect for his wife.

“Looking at our son, we forget all of the labour [involved],” he beamed.

Their son is named after Mike’s dad, late iconic radio personality Casey Kasem, and Su-Ann’s dad, Patrick. Mike also revealed that his son's June 25 birthday not only coincides with Su Ann’s brother’s birthday but “the day Liverpool were crowned champs of the Premier League” as well.

As to whether the couple has any plans for another baby, Mike said that they’re “not thinking about that now” as they’re “not sure if that is what [they] want”.
