Over the weekend, Jeanette Aw, 42, announced that she would be taking September off, after blacking out while baking at her patisserie, Once Upon A Time.

After pushing limits for the entire month, the body just decided to give way. Mentally and physically. I blacked out in this place of pristine white, wrote Jeanette on Once Upon A Time's IG account.

She also apologised for not being able to fulfill that day's orders, adding that she would be taking a month's break to recover, recalibrate and reset the entire order system.”

While she did not make any mention of the incident on her personal Instagram, the actress did write this message on an IG Story, giving an inside look at all the prep work involved.

“I work with 40 pineapples, peel core slice, then make jam (sic). I work with 40kg of butter, just to prep enough batter for all the financiers. I work with 50 lemons zested and sliced for the blueberry bursts,” Jeanette wrote in her post.

Then, for extra emphasis, she added in red text: “All this just for one week, which is only four days of production. Just for you”.

However, it appears that her post did not exactly sit well with one particular netizen (see pic above).

The netizen had taken to their own Instagram Story to criticise the actress. Stop sounding as if you don’t profit from your business,” wrote the netizen, who also tagged Jeanette in the post.

Which was why Jeanette entertained the netizen with her own response.

“Be kind”, wrote Jeanette when she reposted the netizen's IG Story.

She then went on to share a campaign from support group and non-profit suicide prevention centre Samaritans of Singapore, calling for netizens to be kinder online, and not hide behind the anonymity of the internet.

After seeing Jeanette’s response, the netizen went on to apologise for their choice of words , and, at the same time, double down on their stance, saying that it’s not fully justified for [Jeanette] to say “just for you” when people are paying money for her products (sic) .

Jeanette has yet to respond to the netizen's latest comment.
