Tay Ying’s Present For Mum Hong Huifang's 60th Birthday Was A Super Cool Photoshoot

Coming up with a perfect birthday gift for someone is hard. Especially when it’s a milestone birthday, like someone’s 60th. And if that special someone’s your mum? Well, the difficulty level just got taken up a notch.

But it seems like Tay Ying’s the exception when it comes to gift-giving worries. The 25-year-old had treated her mum Hong Huifang, who turned 60 on January 6, to a surprise photoshoot.

And like Huifang, we’re loving the pics, which were shot by photog Reuben Foong.

According to Huifang, Tay Ying wanted the shoot to have “a style that [Huifang’s] never done before”, which was why 25-year-old had pulled out all the stops when it came to planning for the shoot.

It seems like the actress’ fears were unfounded ‘cos the comments section was immediately flooded with replies from her celeb friends gushing over the pictures.

Then there's Tay Ying's heartwarming and emotional Instagram caption.

To those who don’t really know my mum,

She has never pressured me to excel academically, but always reminded me to work hard to get what I want.

She gives me all the freedom I need to explore, but always assured that I will always have a home to come back to.

She taught me how to be strong and independent, and to guard my heart but never close it.

She taught me how to love and care for others bravely, and I always get inspired whenever I see her connecting with our family and friends.

She is a brilliant actress, and I hope to even be half as brilliant as her.

She’s 60,
and she still looks hella fine.

Blessed birthday mummy! May you stay healthy always. Thank you for working hard all these years, it’s time for you to rest and enjoy.
