A 23-Year-Old Man Tried To Extort S$12.6mil From Kris Wu & His Sexual Misconduct Accuser By Pretending To Be 3 Different People
Police investigations also show that Kris transferred S$6.7K to Du Meizhu after having sex with her in December last year.

Ever since Kris Wu, 30, was accused of being a sexual predator by Chinese influencer Du Meizhu, it’s been a confusing game of ‘he said, she said’, with the former shutting down the allegations and the latter doubling down with even more shocking claims.
The police were eventually involved, and on Thursday (Jul 22), they released the results of their current investigation.
Let’s just say that it’s not looking good for Kris, and to certain extent, Meizhu as well.
According to the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau’s report, Kris’ agent, a 28-year-old woman with the surname Feng, had indeed invited Meizhu, 18, to Kris’ house for the so-called “casting of the female lead for a music video” on the night of December 5 last year.
This indirectly confirms Meizhu’s allegation that Kris would prey on girls by offering them roles in his music videos before getting them drunk and assaulting them.
More than 10 other people were also at the party, and they all drank and played board games until 7am the next morning. After everyone else had left, Meizhu was the only one who stayed behind with Kris, and the two of them had sex.
Meizhu went home in the afternoon after having lunch, and she continued to keep in touch with Kris over WeChat until April this year. For some reason, he also transferred 32,000 yuan (S$6,700) to her on December 8.
The investigations also showed that Meizhu definitely isn’t completely innocent in all this.
In June this year, she and her friend, a woman surnamed Liu, discussed publishing an exposé about “Kris’ emotional abuse” on Weibo in order to increase their popularity online.
A 31-year-old man, known only as Mr. Xu, spotted the posts and saw it as an opportunity to make a profit. He contacted Meizhu and helped her write over 10 more posts, which she started putting up from July 16 onwards.
While this whole mess was going on, a third party decided to take advantage of the situation and attempt to extort money from both Kris and Meizhu (how low can people go!?).
On July 14, Kris’ mother made a report claiming that she was being blackmailed by Meizhu. Investigations determined that it was actually a 23-year-old man surnamed Liu who was behind all this.
After reading the news about the scandal, Liu contacted Meizhu and lied about being a woman who had also been victimised by Kris in order to gain her trust.
He took all the information he had learned about her relationship with Kris and used it to pose as Meizhu while seeking 3mil yuan (S$630,000) in compensation from Kris’ lawyer.
Busy Liu then took on the guise of Kris’ lawyer to negotiate another 3mil yuan from Meizhu, but neither side signed the settlement agreement.
Meanwhile, Kris’ mother, whom Liu also tried to extort 3mil yuan from while claiming to be Meizhu, transferred 500,000 yuan (S$105,100) to the real Meizhu’s account. Since Liu did not receive the money, he impersonated Meizhu again and asked Kris’ lawyer for the remaining 2.5mil yuan (S$525,300), but he failed to get it.
Not done with his deceitful act, Liu pretended to be Kris’ lawyer once again and asked Meizhu to sign the settlement agreement, or he would claim back the 500,000 yuan Kris’ mum had sent her.
Meizhu agreed to return the money and transferred 180,000 yuan (S$37,800) to Liu’s Alipay account, believing that he was actually Kris’ attorney.
Liu was finally arrested in Nantong, Jiangsu on July 18 and he admitted to the charges of fraud. He is currently being detained at the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau’s Chaoyang branch.
As for the reports of Kris purportedly tricking underage girls into sleeping with him, the police are still looking into that matter and will deal with it based on the results of their investigation.
