Yesterday (Aug 5), Aaron Kwok, 55, took to his Weibo to celebrate his wife Moka Fang turning 34.
“Happy birthday, my wife. Love you forever”, wrote Aaron, a surprisingly public display of affection from the famously private star. FYI: Moka's birthday is actually today (Aug 6) so Aaron was actually early.
According to reports, Moka, who is originally from Shanghai, recently returned to her home city with their two daughters, three-year-old Chantelle and two-year-old Charlotte, and so couldn't spend her birthday with her husband.
It also explains why Aaron, who remained in Hongkong, had to post a photo taken at Moka's birthday celebration last year.
Back when news of Moka flying back to Shanghai first appeared, there were netizens who praised Moka for being thrifty for flying on economy class.
On the flip side, some netizens deemed it fit to criticise Aaron for being too stingy to splurge on first-class, or even business class seats for his family. It even led to ridiculous speculation that it was a sign that the couple’s marriage was breaking down.
Well, with Aaron's latest Weibo post, those netizens are probably eating their words right now.
