There have been many speculations and suspicions surrounding the marriage between Huang Xiaoming, 43, and Angelababy, 32, with many surmising that they have long divorced.
While the rumours are mostly based on wild theories conjured up from all kinds of random ‘evidence’, the fact that they are hardly seen together in public certainly doesn’t help. Also, remember when they attended the same awards ceremony back in February but sat in different rows and ignored each other? Yeah, awkward.
Well, there’s been another super rare sighting of the Chinese stars together, and this time, they appear to be behaving just a little less icy than they were at that event. Um, sort of.
Recently, Chinese media shared clips of Xiaoming and Angelababy taking their four-year-old son “Little Sponge” to see a doctor at the hospital. When they were done, Angelababy was seen carrying Little Sponge as Xiaoming stood next to her, reaching out to lovingly pat his boy’s head every now and then.
After spending some time inside a convenience store, Xiaoming helped Angelababy and Little Sponge into a car… before leaving in a different vehicle with his assistant. Wait, so they didn’t go home together?
This actually marks the first time the family of three has been seen together in the same frame since 2018, when Xiaoming posted this photo (see below) of him, Angelababy, and Little Sponge on a snowy ski trip.
The latest Huang family trip has divided netizens into two camps, with one side believing that this proves Xiaoming and Angelababy are still together, and the other feeling even more convinced that they have divorced.
Comments from Team They-Are-Still-Together include: “It turns out there was no divorce after all”, “This should be a slap in the face for some people”, “The family looks very harmonious, the best thing to do is be yourself no matter what outsiders say”, and “I hope Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy will always be happy”.
On the other hand, there were those who pointed out that Xiaoming and Angelababy left separately, writing: “They didn’t get into the same car… that’s the main point”, “Don’t they live together?”, and “When Huang Xiaoming was touching Little Sponge in the end, it looked like he was being careful to avoid Angelababy”.
