Believe it or not, Louis Koo has never publicly confirmed any relationship during his 25 years in showbiz. But that’s not to say there haven’t been rumours about the notoriously private star. The latest one that’s been swirling on the WWW? That he and Hongkong actress Jessica Hsuan, both 48, are getting married at the end of this year.

The pair have been good friends for 25 years, having starred together in numerous dramas over the years. But some netizens are convinced they’re more than just friends, and online sleuths have even dug out clues to prove that the two stars are getting married by the end of this year.

At the wrap party organised by Louis for their upcoming movie, A Witness Out of The Blue, the two were spotted getting close with each other in a video. Louis had his arm around Jessica’s shoulder, and was seen whispering something into her ear.

Louis had a bouquet of flowers delivered to congratulate Jessica on her play. Is it a gesture from a good pal or a sign of a budding romance?

It was also reported last month that Louis had purchased a HK$50mil (S$8.8mil) yacht for his parents. But word has it that it’s actually for his alleged impending year-end nuptials.

This next one is a bit of a stretch. Both stars uploaded the same baby-face photo on their Instagram accounts, one day apart from each other, which led some folks to think that they're an item because only couples do this sort of thing. But ...so was everyone else on Instagram?

The duo have often starred in shows together, with the most notable ones being Man’s Best Friend, A Step Into The Past and Detective Investigation Files IV. Additionally, Jessica is currently being managed under the same company as Louis, Sky High Entertainment, further fuelling dating rumours.

Bad news for all those shipping this pairing. Louis' manager rubbished all speculations when the media approached him yesterday (Jul 9). “Of course not. Anything can be spread on the internet. It is not true at all,” he said.

Nevertheless, netizens still support the idea of a romance between Louis and Jessica. “I really wish that it’s true. They’re so compatible and of the same age, too,” a fan lamented.

Louis is no stranger to rumours of this nature, having been romantically linked to ex-TVB show host Natalie Wong, Taiwanese actress Joe Chen and Amber Kuo. Among Jessica’s exes are Ruan Bester, a South African vet, Fran, her Italian ex-boyfriend, as well as wealthy Hongkong businessman Ronald Wing.
