Barbie Hsu’s Husband Got Her This Massive Diamond Ring For Their 10th Wedding Anniversary
They also celebrated the occasion with friends like Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo.
Perhaps it’s the cynic in us talking, but when two people decide to get married after only five dates, most folks probably won't count on the relationship to last very long.
Well, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu and her husband, Chinese tycoon Wang Xiaofei, have certainly proved that assumption wrong.
The couple dated for just 20 days before getting engaged and they tied the knot in a lavish seaside ceremony in Sanya on March 22, 2011.
Yup, that means they recently celebrated their 10th anniversary.
Instead of opting for the typical just-the-two-of-us romantic dinner (unless they did have one in private), Barbie and Xiaofei decided to share the occasion with their friends, including Ruby Lin, Wallace Huo, Mavis Fan and David Tao.
Posting a picture of their get-together on Weibo, Xiaofei, 39, wrote: “Wife, little girl, happy 10th anniversary. I hope you will still say ‘I do’ after another 10 years.”
Something else Xiaofei showed off was the huge diamond ring he gave lucky Barbie as an anniversary present.
Seriously, check it out:
The ring also has the words “W&S forever” engraved on the inside, with W representing (Wang) Xiaofei and S representing Barbie, whose nickname is Da S (Big S) in Chinese.
In addition, Xiaofei uploaded a super sweet selfie of the pair (see below), which got netizens raving over how young Barbie, 44, looks.
“Damn! She really is a little girl,” exclaimed one, referring to Xiaofei’s caption, while another questioned if she has stopped ageing.
On the other hand, there were those who pointed out the glaring absence of Barbie’s younger sister, Dee Hsu, from the gathering.
Upon seeing the comments about this, Xiaofei explained that Dee’s husband Mike had sprained his foot and it was swelling quite badly, so they were unable to make it. “But it doesn’t matter ‘cos we are family,” he added.
Barbie and Xiaofei, who have two young children together, met at a party in 2010, and it was reportedly love at first sight.
They later crossed paths again at Taiwanese actress Ady An’s birthday party, hit it off really well, and the rest is history.
