Rumours have been swirling over the past few days that K-pop idol T.O.P, 32, and newbie actress Kim Ga Bin, 23, are dating.

Extremely attentive fans had noticed that the Big Bang member and the Love Catcher 2 contestant have been posting strangely similar photos on their respective feeds.

On May 20, fans released a compilation of the 'proof' that they've found, starting with a photo of T.O.P, whose real name is Choi Seung Hyun, putting his arms around the newbie actress at his birthday celebration last year. Based on that pic alone, fans concluded that the couple may have been dating for “quite some time”.

The photo, which was originally posted by Ga Bin herself, has since been taken down.

Yesterday (May 21), Ga Bin's older sister went online to deny the dating rumours.

I took this photo of her on a family vacation, and I bought the pyjamas for her when I was buying one for myself too. It's a really popular brand. Fans of T.O.P can also go to the same store and buy the same ones to wear. Should I show you my credit card receipt? Do I need to search for anyone who has worn the same pyjamas before purchasing?” wrote Ga Bin’s sister, who attached the photos she took of Ga Bin while on vacation as well as another one of the pyjamas.

I'll tell you that they are definitely not dating. The photo [of T.O.P with his arm around Ga Bin] was just a gathering of actors and friends,” she continued.

T.O.P’s management, YG Entertainment has since released a statement addressing the rumours. We cannot confirm the details of our artiste's personal life. We ask for your understanding, read the statement.

Ga Bin’s agency, SM C&C, made a similar announcement.

“We cannot confirm the report. We ask for your kind understanding,” they said.
