The four-and-a-half minute footage is packed with spoilers.

First, scalpers were peddling opening-day tickets to Avengers: Endgame on Carousell at exorbitant prices (hello, $600!). Now, one vendor on the online marketplace is apparently offering leaked footage from the highly-anticipated movie.

In his ad, ‘Avengers Endgame leaks’, the Carousell merchant is hawking four-and-a-half minute long footage from the upcoming Marvel movie for a mere $5. He adds, “DM me if you want 5 seconds of Endgame leaks for free.”

We aren’t certain if this is the same footage that’s been reportedly making rounds on Twitter and Reddit since yesterday. That footage is said to be five minutes long, put together with scenes culled from throughout the movie. And yes, the footage is filled with spoilers.

And we have no intention of finding out if the seller is for real or just a troll. We much prefer to watch the whole thing when it comes out on Apr 24. Why would anyone pay money to ruin the movie for themselves? Or, for that matter, implicate themselves in an illegal transaction?

Well, one person did. Twitter user @quintabrunson apparently saw the footage — and regretted it. He wrote, “I just saw leaked footage avengers endgame and honestly I’m ruined. Man. That sucked.”

In Singapore, Avengers: Endgame has sold over $3.3 million in advanced tickets over five days (Apr 10-14). A Disney spokesperson says, “This is 4.6 times the total first week advance ticket sales for Avengers: Infinity War.”

As the opening day approaches, Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony & Joe Russo have issued a public service announcement via Instagram, encouraging fans not to be party poopers.

“To the greatest fans in the world:

This is it. This is the end. The end of an unprecedented narrative mosaic spanning eleven years and eleven franchises.

For all of you who have been on this journey with us since the very beginning, sharing every high and low with your family, your friends, your classmates, your co-workers, investing so deeply in every character and storyline. Laughing. Cheering. Shedding tears. Giving so freely of your thoughts and emotions in spirited dialogue, theories, fan art, and fan fiction. Please know that the two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last three years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to the Infinity Saga.

Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts, and your souls into these stories, we’re once again asking for your help.

When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.

Remember, Thanos still demands your silence.

As always, good luck and happy viewing…”

So before you start any kind of dialogue with your friends about Avengers: Endgame, make sure you ask them, “Have you seen the movie?” In other words: Be considerate lah.

Avengers: Endgame opens in cinemas Apr 24.
