When it comes to plastic surgery, many celebs still refuse to admit that they've had work done. But not Chinese actress Jing Tian though, who recently gave a PSA about the risks of going under the knife.

During a live stream session with a beauty influencer on July 30, Jing Tian bemoaned her experience with a failed double eyelid surgery she had in 2017.

The 31-year-old actress, who has starred in major Hollywood blockbusters like Pacific Rim Uprising and The Great Wall, said: “If you want to get plastic surgery done to your face, you must think about it properly. And you need to pick your doctor and clinic wisely.”

So what happened?

According to Jing Tian, before she had her eyelids done, she would use eyelid glue to create a similar effect. It was only after she got an allergic reaction to the glue did she finally decide to go for surgery.

If only she knew what a disaster it would be.

The surgery left both her upper and bottom eyelids swollen, and she said it made her look like the popular internet meme, Pepe The Frog. Eventually, she got restorative surgery to correct it.

“I regretted it for so long. I felt so upset and cried every day, thinking about how I had made myself look like that,” she lamented to the host, who in turn told her that she was being “too honest”.

What's the matter? Double eyelid surgery is so common. It's okay to talk about this, she responded coolly.
