Rumours are rife that Coco Lee’s nine-year marriage is in trouble after the Hongkong singer shared an emo post on Weibo earlier this week. In the post, she wrote about “mending a broken spirit”, fuelling speculations that she and Canadian billionaire Bruce Rockowitz are headed for Splitsville.

Yesterday (Jul 14), Coco’s manager and older sister, Nancy Lee, addressed, albeit rather evasively, the rumours in an interview with Apple Daily. She said that if the singer's marriage is in trouble, Coco would let everyone know herself. Nancy added that the 45-year-old is very well and recently has had more time to reflect on things, but declined to reveal more.

While Nancy was tight-lipped on whether Coco has been hurt by her 61-year-old husband, her reply on the current state of the couple’s relationship suggested that there was indeed trouble in paradise. “I wouldn’t call it good nor would I call it bad,” she said.

She was equally non-committal when asked if Coco’s marriage is on the rocks, only saying a vague: “I didn’t say it is, neither did I say it isn’t. When it comes to marriage matters, it is better for her to explain it herself. If she didn’t mention it, it means it didn’t happen.”

Since they were on the topic of Coco's private affairs, reporters also took the opportunity to ask about the couple's swanky Hongkong home, which has made occasional appearances on the singer's Instagram. The 300 square metre duplex, which is estimated to be worth S$27.1mil, has captured attention for its gorgeous interiors, private garden and amazing view of the sea.

But contrary to popular belief, the couple don't actually own the apartment. According to Nancy, they are just renting it. She also downplayed the house, claiming “it was [the media] that said it was a mansion”.
