Creepy Fans Have Been Harassing Rain And Kim Tae Hee At Home
He's now threatening to take legal action against them.
Korean star Rain and his wife, actress Kim Tae Hee, are known for being fiercely protective of their privacy. Even after three years of marriage, the couple, who have two daughters aged three and one, have chosen to keep their personal life out of the spotlight and have also taken steps to not disclose photos or information of their girls.
So when the 38-year-old star recently had his privacy invaded by creepy fans, you bet he will not take it lying down.
According to the star’s agency Sublime Artist, fans have been showing up at his front gate, ringing the doorbell and making a scene, causing Rain and his family to live in fear.
Yesterday (Oct 6), the agency issued a statement on its Instagram page condemning the acts and threatening to take legal action against anyone who continues to harass them.
Sharing CCTV images of the perpetrators, the statement read: “Recently an increasing number of people have been showing up at our artiste Rain’s house, ringing the doorbell and screaming outside [the gate]. This has caused Rain and his family members to live in fear and anxiety in their home and private space, and it needs to stop. The actions of these fans have violated their privacy and in order to protect our artiste’s well-being, we will not hesitate to take legal action.”
Netizens were creeped out after seeing the CCTV images and stood up for Rain saying: “He’s got a family. How could they behave like this!” and that “these people should go to prison.”
While it is not known where the family-of-four live, there were reports that the couple had bought a 5bil won (S$6.2mil) three-storey mansion in the Itaewon district in the Seoul in 2017 and were planning to move out of Rain’s family home.
