Hongkong star Edison Chen recently posted six super adorable pics of his two-year-old daughter Alaia making cheeky faces at the camera... and his fans can't get enough of her.

“ALREADY A STAR IN THE MAKING” the proud daddy wrote — in all caps, no less — about Alaia, who netizens said looks exactly like the 39-year-old.

Alaia's mum is Chinese supermodel, Qin Shu Pei who has been with Edison since 2015. The actor-rapper had met the 29-year-old through a mutual friend, and Shupei once admitted that she was already a fan of Edison’s candid personality when she came across a video of him yelling at a blogger on social media.

I first met him face-to-face at a fashion event, and I found him to be funny, attentive, and extremely smart, she said in an interview.

Before Edison, Shu Pei was to married Leigh Gow, the general manager of the Huayi Brothers Fashion Group. But their three-year marriage ended under a cloud of controversy. Shu Pei and Edison's relationship came to light in 2016 when the paparazzi spotted them kissing in public. The pics generated a lot of goss because everyone had assumed Shu Pei was still married to Leigh. It didn't help that Leigh had implied on social media that Shu Pei had cheated on him with Edison.

But Shu Pei soon clarified things on her Weibo where she said that she and her ex-husband had already signed their separation papers. I do not understand why he has to hurt me in such an irresponsible way. Although we can no longer be husband and wife, I still wish the best for Mr. Gow, she added.

The statuesque Shu Pei made her modelling debut in 2006 when she was talent-spotted at the tender age of 16 while studying in New York. She has modelled for brands such as Gucci, Burberry and Vera Wang and was also a Victoria's Secret Angel.

It's said that the former bad boy is now a changed man after becoming a father... though his temper is still as fiery as ever (click here and here). But he's a giant softie when it comes to his gorgeous family. A quick look at his Instagram page and it’s pretty obvious that he loves showing off his little kid and wife.

Edison dotes on Alaia so much, he bought her a $4000 volleyball in July.
