Eric Moo Shows He’s The Best Daddy While Grocery Shopping With His Two Daughters
They drove to the supermarket in his posh Porsche.
Malaysian singer Eric Moo is widely regarded as the first singer from this region to make it big in Taiwan and the 56-year-old has been based there since the early ’90s. He’s been married to Taiwanese former model Pang Meijun for almost two decades and the couple has two daughters — Yonghuan, 18, who took part in Taiwanese reality singing competition Jungle Voice earlier this year, and Yongle, 12.
Two days ago (Jul 17), Apple Daily spotted Eric and his two girls grocery shopping in Taipei. The journo noted that Yonghuan and Yongle are clearly very close to each other and that they were laughing and joking the entire time. It was also reported that the family chalked up a NT$8827 (S$387) grocery bill, not that that's important to anyone.
The news site also jokingly described Eric as an “errand boy” when they saw how he loaded the groceries into the car boot all by himself while his two daughters got into the vehicle — a Porsche that costs at least NT$4.93mil (S$216K), Apple Daily reminds us — “as gracefully as princesses”.
When contacted by Apple Daily about what he’s been busy with, the singer said: “I basically do not accept any work in Taipei. Taipei is where I live and I spend about 150 days a year working in China.”
Eric also mentioned that Yonghuan participated in Jungle Voice because singing is her hobby and that she’s headed to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in the United States to study at the end of August. But it’s not as if he doesn’t encourage her to pursue a career in showbiz. He added that if she intends to become a singer in the future, he is willing to use all his resources in the industry to help her.
“Huan huan has graduated from high school and she’ll be enrolling in Berklee at the end of August to begin her life as a university student and to explore the limitless world of music. Daddy is looking forward to your work!” wrote Eric on Weibo in May.
