He might only be 26 this year, but Korean boyband EXO member Kai is doing very well for himself. The K-pop star recently appeared on an episode of Korean variety show I Live Alone, where he showed off his apartment.
According to the singer, he’d just moved in four months earlier, after spending “around 10 years” living in a dormitory with his group members.
With this being his very first home, Kai put in loads of thought when it came to the interior design of the apartment, which has an area of about 2,000 square feet.
He shared on the show that he designed his space with a “blank paper” concept in mind, outfitting the place in primarily monochrome fittings, like the sprawling grey couch that adorns his living room. (P.S: That very couch is said to cost at least S$60,000).
But that’s not all. A subsequent tour of the apartment took everyone through his living room, dining room, bedroom, study and two dressing rooms, which are all connected to each other through hidden doors and hallways.
I wanted everything to be one, so it’s all connected, like a secret space,” he shared.
The star’s sizable dressing rooms also attracted much attention. After all, it’s hard to forget the sight of two sprawling rooms outfitted with floor-to-ceiling wardrobes filled with luxury clothing and accessories, right?
Kai went on to share that he rarely removes the tags from his clothes ‘cos he “wants to have the feeling of wearing new clothes every time he gets dressed. Okay, that's a first.
Although the show did not reveal the exact location of the apartment, resourceful netizens soon narrowed down the area, revealing that the apartment is likely to be located in Seoul’s Banpo-dong neighbourhood. They later went on to share that an apartment in that area tends to sell for a pretty high price, with a 2,000 sq ft apartment going for 2bil won (S$2.4mil).
