So it seems Faye Wong and her ex-husband Chinese actor Li Yapeng are still good friends. Or are at least drinking buddies.

Yesterday (Oct 21), the former couple, who divorced in 2013, was spotted by the media meeting up at Yapeng’s residence at night.

According to reports, Yapeng, 47, was seen leaving in his car at around 9pm while Faye, 50, emerged from the same unit at 1am with her friends, looking slightly inebriated. The singer appeared to be in a jovial mood as she laughed and waved goodbye to her pals before walking away… in the opposite direction from where her car was parked.

When the news made its way online, concerned (or should we say, kaypoh) netizens wondered if Faye’s boyfriend Nicholas Tse would be jealous. But we have a feeling the couple are too cool to sweat the small stuff like this.

Just like S.H.E’s Selina Jen and her ex-husband Richard Chang, it's clear that Faye and Yapeng, who have a headline-making 13-year-old daughter together, have remained on good terms since their divorce.

Back then, Faye referred to their separation as “their fate as a couple coming to an end” while Yapeng called Faye his “high school girl” in a message, which many interpreted as him still having fond feelings for her.

Their break-up was seen as a pity to many but unlike many former couples who can't even be in the same room, Faye and Yapeng remain a beacon of hope for those who believe that it's possible to stay friends with your ex.

Interestingly, Yapeng is now said to be dating a writer who bears a strong resemblance to Faye.
