So when news of Fish Leong’s alleged divorce first broke yesterday (Aug 15), many of the singer’s pals were contacted by the press to confirm the rumours. It was reported that the manager of Christine Fan — the Taiwanese singer is one of Fish’s besties — had told reporters that Christine had already known that there was trouble in Fish and Tony Chao's marriage two years ago. The manager’s reply was then interpreted by the press as an acknowledgement of Fish’s divorce.

The news quickly went viral and while Fish stayed silent on social media (unlike her hubby), people started wondering if a) Christine was really speaking on the behalf of Fish or b) if Fish was angry with Christine for making that comment.

Well, wonder no more.

Today (Aug 16), Fish broke her silence, not on her divorce but on her friendship with Christine, by posting this photo along with this message on her Weibo: “I will always love Fan Fan (Christine’s nickname). Thank you Fan Fan for supporting me and accompanying me all these years.”

It’s clear that Fish is not angry with Christine (or her manager) for making that remark. But it has led to people saying that Fish not mentioning anything about the divorce or her husband is also very telling.
