Taiwanese singer Angela Chang, 39, has been based in China for a number of years now and she recently took part in the 100th anniversary celebration of the Chinese Communist Party.

However, her participation at the event did not sit well with some people, presumably pro-Taiwanese government netizens, who went on to share this very unflattering and very dated picture of a bare-faced Angela.

The photo was reportedly taken by a paparazzo many years ago, when Angela was experiencing “a slump” in her career and personal life.

Yes, she didn’t look too good, but hey, how are you supposed to look when you are feeling down and out?

Other netizens have since stood up to defend Angela, saying that she looks so much better now.

According to the singer, she follows a very strict diet these days, forgoing bread and food that contains processed sugar.

Apart from that, she also exercises regularly, and consumes loads of water in order to achieve a glowing complexion.

Some of them also shared more recent pictures of Angela that show how amazing the singer looks now, at the same time decrying the malicious netizens who are circulating the old picture.
