Here’s The Reason Singaporean Girl Group By2 Has Been Posing This Way For 11 Years
There's actually a lot of thought that was put into it.
Singaporean pop group By2 recently had their second shot at fame when they participated in the third season of Chinese talent show, The Coming One, which gives artistes a chance to make a comeback.
Throughout the competition, Miko and Yumi Bai, 27, have earned praise from their fellow contestants and the judges, which included our very own Stefanie Sun. The twins eventually came in third place much to the disappointment of their fans, many of whom have supported the group since their debut in 2008.
But apart from their impressive performances, where they showed off their impeccable dance moves, their fans also started noticing a very peculiar habit the two girls have: that they would always stand with their legs crossed when they are in front of the camera.
This led to discussion among netizens who began to wonder why the sisters were always posing in that manner. Seeing the way By2 stands with the legs crossed has become a burning question in my mind every time I watch the show,” commented one curious netizen.
And guess what? The group has been assuming this pose for years now.
But it's not the first time their stance has been noticed. Back in 2012, a judge on Chinese dance reality show, Shake It Up, had commented on the duo’s pose, which led to the sisters revealing that they do so to hide the fact that they are bow-legged.
“Actually, our legs aren’t straight, unlike normal people. So we’d cross them to hide it,” Miko and Yumi explained. The host then joked with the judge: “They've done so well to cover their flaw but you exposed them just like that. The judge went on to praise By2 for being smart and for knowing how to cover up their imperfections.
