Hongkong model Kathy Chow’s French husband, Julien Lepeu, has been accused of cheating on his wife after he was photographed cuddling and kissing another woman.

Netizens, who have expressed their shock at the scandal, have always assumed that the couple, who has two sons, Jacques, three, and Avner, two, had a great marriage since Kathy and Julien regularly posted about their happy family life on social media.

The incriminating photos, which were reportedly taken at an alfresco diner at Deep Water Bay, Hong Kong, showed Julien, 42, and a woman behaving intimately throughout their meal. Though her identity remains a mystery, some netizens have started calling her a gold-digger since Julien is said to be from a wealthy family of jewellers.

Netizens pointed out that Kathy, 45, had posted photos of herself on a beach holiday earlier this week, and that Julien might have taken the opportunity to cheat on her while she was away. Kathy’s caption on her IG post included the hashtags, “#Mummy’sOnHoliday #Daddy’sOnDuty”.

“She trusted him to look after their sons, and yet he decided to spend time with another woman. What a tragedy,” one wrote. There were also those who believe that Kathy was likely to have been unaware of her husband’s philandering ways.

After scrolling through Kathy's feed, netizens also noted that she and Julien might not have spent Valentine’s Day together as her post on that day was of Avner sitting in front of her wedding photo. The couple had celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary last September.

Kathy has since returned to Hongkong, but has refused to comment on the cheating allegations. The Hongkong media has been criticised for hounding her as she was with her young sons when they approached her near her home for an interview.
