Indonesian singer Yuni Shara, who went viral late last week after reports claimed that she watches porn with her teenage sons as a form of sex education, has denied that she made that eyebrow-raising statement.

The 49-year-old allegedly revealed that, let's be honest, disturbing, um, tidbit of information in a YouTube video, and it was so outrageous that it made the news overseas too.

However, Yuri has taken to her Instagram to denounce the reports, saying that she was “disappointed” and that the reports had “changed the message of what [she] wanted to bring across and made it into something negative”.

“Never once have I ever said that [I watch porn with my sons] and never would I have accompanied my child to watch adult films,” wrote Yuni on Instagram.

According to those reports, Yuni had said she didn’t want to be “old-fashioned”. Instead, she wanted to “encourage her sons to be more open-minded”.

“It’s impossible for our children nowadays to not watch porn, whether it’s 'anime' or any other kind that are available these days,” she said in the video.

It was then reported that Yuni had shared in the video that she “joined in to watch the adult film” with one of her sons after she caught him watching porn.

“[Instead of getting angry at them,] I think it’s better if I ask them, 'What do you guys think about watching [porn] together like this, is it cool?', and they would be like 'Mom, don’t be like this,’” Yuni was said to have said in the video.
