Jacqueline Wong’s Sister On How The Disgraced Star Is Doing: “I Hope She Can Return To Face Everyone When She’s Ready”

Well, good luck on that.

It’s been almost half a year since the Andy Hui cheating scandal made TVB actress Jacqueline Wong the most hated woman in Asia. The last anyone heard of her was that she’s living in the States and that she had broken up with her boyfriend Kenneth Ma.

Yesterday, her older sister, 37-year-old actress Scarlett Wong, who is no stranger to controversy herself, opened up about Jacqueline’s recent developments during the taping of a show.

“She’s in the wrong. But as her older sister and her family member, I will be by her side no matter what,” she said of Jacqueline, who according to Scarlett is still overseas.

As for how Jacqueline is doing these days, especially in the wake of reports that she had become emotionally unstable, Scarlett said: “What happened was huge, her emotions are still unstable so she needs time and space to deal with and face herself, and to accept what has happened and take responsibility.”

When she was asked if Jacqueline has plans to return to Hongkong, Scarlett said: “I don’t know. She doesn’t know herself either. I hope she can return to face everyone when she’s ready.”

Scarlett also admits that the scandal had created trouble for their family too. “You have a child for a hundred years and you worry for her for 99. Our parents have always been worried about us four sisters so they were really unhappy. But our family will work hard to face everything, no matter how sad we are, we still have to continue on.”

Lastly, Scarlett was asked if it would be awkward if she were to bump into Andy Hui, Sammi Cheng or Kenneth Ma at work in the future. “I don’t think it would be for me, and I wouldn’t avoid them on purpose either.”
