Jay Chou And Hannah Quinlivan Take On Tik Tok Dance Challenge For Chinese Valentine's Day

How cute.

Since it was 520 Day yesterday (May 20) — Chinese netizens feel that the numbers sound a lot like 'I love you' in Chinese and so have turned the date into a Valentine's Day of sorts — the king of grand romantic gestures, Jay Chou, of course had a treat for his fans.

But instead of showing off some lavish display of affection for his wife Hannah Quinlivan, Jay decided to spread the lurve by posting a video of him and Hannah taking on Tik Tok’s Oh Na Na Na dance challenge.

“I wish you all a happy 520 day! Why does it feel like you're a better dancer than I am? And then, it seemed like I was panicking. I think it’s been too long since I last held a concert” wrote Jay, who also included a hashtag saying that all the dancing he had done at his concerts were in vain.

While he had nothing but praise for his wife's dancing, Hannah didn't think so. “I think I was being too serious,” she commented on his post.

However, there were netizens who noticed that Jay had covered his chin throughout the whole video and immediately grabbed the opportunity to fat-shame the star for gaining weight during the pandemic and joking that he was posing in that manner to “hide [his] double chin”.

Come on, guys. Where's the love on 520 day?!

But there’s something Jay won’t be teased for — his magic skills.

In a separate IG post on the same day, Jay uploaded a trailer of the latest episode of his Netflix magic travelogue series, J-Style Trip.

The guest star for the episode, American-Japanese street magician Cyril Takayama, was so impressed with Jay’s magic skills that he said: “I think Jay is Mr. Magic for sure. Jay’s magic tricks are so good, I’m afraid I might lose my job!”

And Cyril wasn't the only one who was impressed by Jay.

Another guest, J-pop idol Ryota Katayose, turned into a total fan boy when he saw Jay.

“It was an incredibly magical experience to be able to eat soba with my idol, Jay Chou. I can feel how warm and natural he is, the 25-year-old singer said, adding that Jay’s song ‘Love Confession’ was his jam.
