Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou’s son Romeo might only be turning three in June, but the toddler is already showing signs that he has inherited his dad’s musical talents.

Last week, Jay’s wife, Hannah Quinlivan, Instagrammed a clip which has since been viewed some 800,000 times. In the vid, Jay and Romeo are sitting side by side, with the little boy balancing a tiny guitar on his lap.

The video starts off with Romeo and Jay singing along to the latter’s hit song ‘Listen To Your Mother’s Words’. Although Romeo can’t quite remember all the lyrics to the chorus, and says ‘Ma Ma’ (mother) instead of ‘Ba Ba’ (father), netizens were amazed that the little boy managed to stay on tune and even strum along on the guitar for two lines of the song.

Towards the end of the video, Romeo accurately pronounced the line, Cai Neng Bao Hu Ta which roughly translates to Then I’ll be able to protect her .

Here's the vid:

Netizens and fellow celebs were very impressed by the singing toddler. Prince Chiu chimed in, “He’s too adorable!” while Angelababy gushed, “[My heart] has melted.”

But no one was more delighted than Jay, who commented on Hannah's post: “[He says he’s] going to listen to his dad instead!”
