Yet another female starlet has been romantically linked to F4 heartthrob Jerry Yan, who is currently one of the Asia's most eligible bachelors (especially now that his most famous paramour, Lin Chi-ling, is officially off the market).

This time, the 42-year-old’s rumoured squeeze is Taiwanese actress Amber An, whom local audiences might remember best as Desmond Tan’s bride-to-be in last year’s rom-com, The Big Day.

It was because both of them were spotted at someone else’s big day that got the rumour mill churning. Jerry and Amber were at a mutual friend’s wedding, where they were seen hugging and, um, he was espied sniffing her hair.

Needless to say, poor Amber was hounded about the rumours during her appearance at a charity event in Taipei yesterday (Jul 16). However, the 33-year-old brushed it all off with a laugh, saying she never expected there to be a day where people would think she was involved with “everybody’s dream guy”.

She also denied those TMI allegations of them engaging in PDA. “Everyone was having a good time and just being friendly with one another,” she clarified.

In fact, if Amber is to believed, referring to her and Jerry as “friends” may even be slightly overstating things. She revealed that they got to know each other about two years ago because they share the same fitness coach.

“We would run into each other every now and then but we never kept in touch,” she said. “I don’t even have his phone number! And I’ve been so busy with work lately that I haven’t had time to go to the gym.”

It appears she hasn’t really had much time to date either. Amber admitted that, despite having a few potential suitors, she’s been single for almost five years.

“Perhaps God loves me too much and doesn’t want me to get my heart broken,” she chuckled. “So it’s easier to focus on my career without any distractions!”
