While everyone is busy congratulating Lin Chiling on getting married, Taiwanese pop star Jimmy Lin is also feeling the love. The 44-year-old happily married father-of-three and fast car aficionado posted this message on his Weibo account yesterday (Jun 6): “I’ve received everyone’s well-wishes, but I’m not the one getting married (laughing emoji). It’s Sister Chiling lah. I wish her love and happiness!” He also hashtagged the post with “Lin Chilling married” and “Jimmy Lin got married”.

He then uploaded screengrabs of news articles with headlines announcing that he has gotten married to Exile member Akira. (P/S: We know Taiwan recently legalised gay marriage but shouldn't these sites do some fact-checking before uploading their stories?)

So why how did this boo-boo come about? Well, Jimmy’s Chinese name ‘Lin Zhi Ying’ sounds a whole lot like Lin Chiling and apparently, it’s not the first time this case of mistaken identity has happened.

But in case you're wondering, Jimmy revealed in an interview last year that while he and Chiling are not related contrary to popular belief, they were classmates in pre-school. Oh dear, did I just reveal her age? he said, before getting told that the model's age isn't a secret.
