This Korean Celeb Couple’s Photoshop Fails Are Making Koreans Smile Amidst COVID-19 Outbreak
At this point we’re pretty sure they’re doing it on purpose.
Celebs are no strangers to Photoshop fails. Just last month, Taiwanese pop diva Jolin Tsai joined the ranks of Lin Chiling and Rainie Yang when she got busted by netizens for doing a botched job at touching up her photos.
But this Korean singer has decided to turn the tables around.
It all started on Feb 21, when Kim Yeonji uploaded a photo of her with her husband at a cafe. “We took this photo with a basic camera so the photo looks a bit dim. But still, I’ll upload it since we took the photo together,” she wrote.
However, her husband Yoo Sang Moo’s face has been so obviously stretched, presumably so Yeonji's face would look sharper, that netizens couldn’t help but laugh at how obvious her Photoshop fail was.
“I get that you want to let your face to look sharp, but check out your husband’s ear. I somehow feel like you’ve wronged him,” one netizen wrote.
Since then, she’s uploaded more photos taken her husband, with each photo distorting a different part of his face. One showed his jaw visibly stretched out, while this pic (see above) had his eye pulled upwards.
And Korean netizens are loving Yeonji's latest updates.
One such netizen wrote, “I’ve been feeling really stressed out about the COVID-19 situation, but seeing your posts made me laugh out loud. Thank you Mr. Yoo for your sacrifice.”
Another added, “It must be true love because he’s willing to look bad as long as his wife looks good. I respect you!”
Netizens speculate that while the first Photoshop fail was unintended, the couple was likely to have noticed the positive response it received and decided to continue with the series.
