Leon Lai Sets Aside 40 Million Yuan (S$7.8Mil) For Daughter’s Education; Funds To Be Managed By Girlfriend Wing Chan

No pressure at all, kiddo.

Leon Lai and girlfriend Wing Chan’s daughter may only be 14 months old, but Daddy dearest has already set aside 40mil yuan (S$7.8mil) in education funds for her. And all that money will be managed by his girlfriend and baby mama Wing Chan. Wing also manages Leon’s AMusic record label.

According to Chinese media reports, the Heavenly King reportedly sold a Hongkong luxury mansion that he’d owned for 10 years, for HK$51.7mil (S$9mil), reportedly at a loss too. All this just to set aside funds for Baby Lai’s future. And you thought Singaporean parents were kiasu.

It was just last year that the 52-year-old superstar admitted that he was dating his 33-year-old assistant-turned-sales-manager, Wing. Not long after, it was revealed that Ah Wing, as she’s affectionately known, was preggers. The couple welcomed their baby daughter, whose name remains a mystery, last April.

The fiercely private Leon had initially intended to keep his baby’s identity a secret at first, but relented after paparazzi spotted Wing and Baby Lai out on the streets, and pictures of them were splashed across newspapers. Now, the proud father gushes about his kid openly at his concerts, and even posted her photo on his Weibo account, back when she was four months old.
