Classic Hongkong drama Heart of Greed was one of the, if not the top TVB series of 2007, sweeping numerous accolades at the TVB Anniversary Awards that year and hitting an impressive ratings high of 48 points during its finale.

While most of its cast — such as Moses Chan, Linda Chung, Michelle Yim, Raymond Lam, and Bosco Wong — are still very much active and in the public eye, Susanna Kwan has been living a more low-key life away from the spotlight in recent years.

There have even been rumours that the 63-year-old is in poor health as she is often photographed going in and out of the hospital.

On Monday (Jul 5), retired TVB producer Mui Siu Ching posted a few photos from a gathering with several friends that inadvertently turned out to be a mini Heart of Greed reunion.

“It is a blessing to be able to do what you love as a lifelong job, and it’s even more fulfilling to meet a group of good friends at work! I’m thankful that I can encounter such long-lasting friendships,” Siu Ching gushed in her caption.

Aside from her husband, Hongkong producer Lau Ka Ho, and her younger sister, Hongkong actress-host Cutie Mui, Siu Ching was also joined by Heart of Greed stars Louise Lee, Ha Yu, Louis Yuen, and Susanna, who fortunately appears to be in good health and spirits despite the speculations about her condition.

On the other hand, some netizens pointed out that Ha Yu, 78, looks almost unrecognisable with his white hair and weight gain.

Susanna’s long-time partner Willy Chow, who is the niece of the late ‘Instant Noodle King’ Chow Man Hin, was at the party as well.

Naturally, the photos excited Heart of Greed fans, who expressed their hopes for the original cast to film another sequel, and for Susanna to make her acting comeback again soon.
