Lynn Hung Was Rejected By Her Billionaire Husband The First Time She Asked Him Out For A Date

But why!?

Forget sitting in a tower waiting to be rescued by Prince Charming: we’re now living in modern times where women can take the initiative to ask a guy out. But for Chinese model-actress Lynn Hung, this didn’t work out quite as well as she had hoped at first.

During her recent appearance on Chinese variety show Super Mom College, the 40-year-old opened up about how she got together with her husband, Hongkong billionaire tycoon Ken Kwok. According to Lynn, she has known one of Ken’s sisters (not actress Kenix Kwok) for many years, and the latter once gushed about how her younger brother is a very good and filial man, making him a good match for Lynn.

The couple was finally introduced to each other by a friend at a gathering. From the moment they met, Lynn was impressed by how polite Ken was and had a good feeling about him (his sister’s positive testimony probably helped as well), so she decided to make the first move and casually invite him for drinks at her friend’s bar in two days.

Unfortunately, this is what Ken replied: “Aiyah, I can’t do it on that day.” Guess even someone who once (reportedly) dated Hongkong Heavenly King Aaron Kwok can get rejected.

Lynn later found out from another friend that Ken was too taken aback by how proactive she was and did not dare to respond to her romantic advances despite having feelings for her as well (seriously, dude!?). Not wanting to give up, Lynn sent him a message through her friend, “No need to be afraid, ask him to come and bring it on!”

Second time was obviously a charm. Ken finally mustered up the courage to go out with Lynn and they went public with their relationship in 2014, tied the knot in 2016, and welcomed twin daughters in 2018.
