Machi Didi Andrew Chou, Now 31, Is All Grown Up, Married His Manager In 2016
He was just 13 when he joined the popular Taiwanese hiphop group.
Taiwanese hiphop group Machi was all the rage back in the early noughties, propelling its members like Jeffrey Huang, Stanley Huang and Nicky Li to stardom.
Also making a name for himself was the group's youngest member, Andrew Chou aka Machi Didi (or Machi Little Brother), who was all but 13 then.
The US-born Andrew is now 31, and as it turns out, happily married.
Recently, Taiwanese media revealed that Andrew had registered his marriage in Clark County, Nevada with his manager, Nicky, on June 9, 2016.
Back then, there were already rumours that they had tied the knot, but Andrew only admitted that they had been dating for four years.
Nicky has since confirmed the good news to the media... albeit five years later.
“It's not that we didn’t want to go public, but our elders wished for us to hold a wedding ceremony, so we didn’t want to go public before the wedding happened,” she explained.
Reports also shared that the couple have just returned to Taiwan, after visiting relatives in the States.
Andrew also wrote a short post on Facebook, where he shared a couple of pictures of their “impromptu wedding ceremony” at the annual Burning Man festival in Nevada.
“She doesn't want expensive dates or gifts. We are happy just being together... we wouldn't trade it for the most extravagant wedding in the world. I don't say she's my wife, I say she's my soulmate,” he wrote.
