Michelle Reis Celebrates 50th Birthday With Her Family On Their $12.5mil Yacht
Rich people and their toys.
When it’s Michelle Reis’ birthday, one thing's for sure: It must be celebrated in style.
Recently, the Miss Hongkong 1988 posted IG stories of herself, her businessman husband Julian Hui and their nine-year-old son, Jayden Max, chilling in their yacht off the coast of Hongkong, where they had an early celebration to ring in her 50th (say what?) birthday. FYI: Michelle turns 50 and fabulous on June 20.
Pity then that the weather wasn’t in their favour.
“The weather’s not good, but at least we’re together!” Michelle wrote in an IG Story. In another post, she revealed that an “amber signal”, which is an alert about potential heavy rain, was announced during their trip.
But instead of showing concern for the family's safety (seriously, people), netizens seemed more interested in how fancy their yacht is.
According to Apple Daily, Michelle’s yacht is made by luxury Italian brand Azimut Yachts, one of the world's leading yacht manufacturers.
The price? A whopping 8mil euros (S$12.5mil).
The yacht reportedly has 13 (yup) rooms, and it’s often used by the couple to entertain guests. It’s also said to be bigger than the average yacht and so it needs to be parked at a shipyard instead of a yacht dock.
Besides Michelle and Julian, many Hongkong businessmen are also apparently fans of Azimut yachts, with reports claiming that the late casino tycoon Stanley Ho and ‘King of Toys’ Francis Choi own several of such yachts.
Well, what can we say except rich people love their boats.
