Mother-of-3 Sonia Sui Has One Of Showbiz’s Hottest Bods And She Hasn’t Had White Rice In 4 Years
She reveals another secret to her enviable physique: What she has for breakfast every day.
Taiwanese model-actress Sonia Sui has one of the most enviable figures in showbiz. And that’s after having not one, not two, but three kids. The 38-year-old sure wasted no time becoming a mother after marrying American-Chinese businessman Tony Hsieh in 2015 and they are now the proud parents of Max, four, Lucy, two and Olie, who was born last December.
And Sonia has decided to bless the masses by sharing her secret to having a good bod. Or at least, what she has for breakfast.
She calls it “a healthy breakfast that you won’t get sick of in a 10,000 years”, which sets really high expectations for readers, not to mention, is high praise for something you created yourself. Sonia says her meal takes “less than three minutes to prepare” while the kids’ version requires an additional ten minutes “because it’s more complicated.”
So here are the ingredients to Sonia Sui’s healthy breakfast that you, um, won’t get sick of in a 10,000 years:
1. Oats.
( But for my kids, I will use cereal because it’s softer and kids are more receptive to that. )
2. Plain yogurt.
( I don’t like to give my children food that come with additives. )
3. Nuts.
( To prevent my kids from choking on them, I will grind the nuts into powder and add it into their cereal. I usually choose walnuts, which I would roast, before grinding them down. [Walnuts] help with brain development. )
4. Dried fruits.
( This helps to elevate the taste. But for my kids, I will used chopped fresh fruits instead of dried ones. )
She then hashtagged her recipe with “Very suitable for a busy morning”, “Kids portion takes 10 minutes more but it’s worth it”, “To be safe and healthy is the most important” and “I wish you happiness”.
But it’s not all about diet if you want to look as good as Sonia. She once revealed that she had put on 13kg when she was pregnant with her second kid and that it took her a year to slim back down. She now says she has managed to maintain her weight with a combination of healthy eating and exercise. “I will make sure I exercise at least three times a week, with each session lasting about 1.5 hours. And I have persisted with this routine and have not slacked off.”
Her workout routine starts with 40 minutes of stretching and warm ups, which includes running or cycling, which is followed by 50 minutes of weight training. She also says that she has not had white rice since getting married and that “[her] family only eats brown rice”. She also has a water bottle with her wherever she goes, which she fills up with either warm water or black or red bean water, which she says helps with metabolism.
Sonia posted this photo of her family (sans baby Olie) during Chinese New Year.
Sonia posted this photo of she and Tony in the delivery room after giving birth to Olie. “Giving birth always makes me look like a crazy woman, she wrote.
