Netizens Criticise Ada Choi For Looking “Haggard” In New Video Posted By Her Husband

Why didn't he QC?

“Tired and haggard are two words we would never associate with Hongkong actress Ada Choi.

You see, the 46-year-old, who gave birth to her third kid, a boy nicknamed Le Er, in November last year, is usually a bundle of energy. During her pregnancy last year, it was work as usual for Ada, who would attend events wearing high heels. She also kept up with her exercise routine, nailing complicated yoga poses even when she was six months pregnant.

Therefore, a recent video posted by Ada’s husband, Chinese actor Max Zhang, 45, on his Weibo, took many by surprise.

The video appeared to be filmed in the couple’s apartment, with Ada getting ready to whip up a meal in the kitchen.

“My wife’s back! Haha,” an ecstatic Max wrote about Ada, who was bare-faced and had her hair pulled back.

Netizens were shocked by Ada's appearance, with many saying that she looked “haggard and “tired”. Some also commented that Ada’s hairline seemed to be receding, and that her cheeks were noticeably sunken.

“You should get Ada to gain some weight, so she wouldn’t look so old. She’s so thin that her face is just skin and bones,” a concerned netizen wrote.

Another netizen also shared that Ada had just given birth three months ago, so it's just natural that she looks tired.

There were also those who blamed Max’s video-taking skills, saying that that's the reason Ada looked so tired.

Max and Ada tied the knot in 2008 and they have three kids together — Zoe, eight, Chloe, six, and a three-month-old baby boy nicknamed Le Er.
