It seems like Hongkong star Edison Chen has gone from bad boy to family man to, um, uncle? On Saturday (Jun 11), the 39-year-old held an Instagram Live session to catch up with his followers and to give them an update on what he's been up to. Sadly, all his fans could talk about after was how much Edison has aged.

In his defense, props has to be given to the star for his complete lack of vanity and for eschewing the use of beauty filters that have rendered many of his peers unrecognisable.

“Hello? Who is this uncle?” commented a disappointed fan, while another wrote: “He used to be really handsome, what happened…”

Some netizens also joked that Edison has aged as badly as his nemesis and fellow noughties hottie Shawn Yue.

However, there were those who praised Edison for being cool enough to go unfiltered and au naturel on IG.

“Growing old is a natural process. I think he’s still as handsome as ever!” one such netizen said.
