Netizens Say Faye Wong’s Daughter Li Yan Is Becoming Prettier By The Day
The 14-year-old’s refreshing dose of self-confidence is what we all need.
Faye Wong’s daughter Li Yan resembles her famous mother in more ways than one. Like the singer, the 14-year-old, who has grown up under the media spotlight, oozes cool and is refreshingly self-confident.
Li Yan, who was born with a congential cleft lip and has gone through several surgeries over the years to correct it, was just nine when she got into social media. Then, the precocious kid would pepper her accounts with selfies and videos, with her most popular clip the one where she taught her followers how to imitate the poses of various celebrities, which, yes, included Faye. That account was eventually deleted by her dad, Chinese actor Li Yapeng, who felt that she was too young to be on social media, though Li Yan would get back into the game a few years later.
Unfortunately, her lavish spending then became the subject of gossip, and with netizens and the media scrutinising her every move, she soon because a target of online haters.
These days, the 14-year-old is far less active on social media, and rarely posts pictures of herself.
But recently, she uploaded a new series of selfies, showing off her bleached hair, which she first debuted at her 14th birthday party. When a friend commented that it seemed like she had dyed her hair pink, Li Yan jokingly replied: “I didn’t dye my hair again, it’s just that I’m really good at colour-matching”.
Netizens, who have become a lot less critical of Li Yan these days, started leaving comments praising the teen, with one writing that she’s “becoming prettier by the day”.
