New Photos Of Cecilia Cheung’s Two Older Sons Show That They Are All Grown Up Now
The star says motherhood is full of contradictions in a video posted on Mother's Day.
No matter what's what's been said about Hongkong actress Cecilia Cheung over the years, the 39-year-old is widely regarded as a pretty darn good mother to her three sons.
So on Mother’s Day, it came as no surprise that, to mark the occasion, the social media-loving actress posted a video of her two older sons, Lucas, 12, and Quintus, 10, riding go-karts for the first time.
In the clip, Ceci shared her thoughts via a series of captions, musing, “Being a mother is full of contradictions, I want to run ahead of everyone else with [my kids] by my side, but I can’t help myself from turning back to ensure their safety.”
“Mama hopes that you will harbour love in your hearts, to become a kind and strong person. Right now, I will do my very best to protect every one of you. When you grow up, we’ll switch roles and you guys will protect mama, she wrote at the end of the video, after Lucas and Quintus successfully mastered the go-karts.
The vid touched the hearts of many netizens, who commended Cecilia for accurately sharing the innermost thoughts of all mothers.
“I cried watching the video, Cecilia and her kids must stay strong, and be happy forever,” a netizen wrote.
In other related news, Ceci was recently spotted shopping with Lucas, Quintus, and her younger brother. The quartet had made their way to a music shop, where Lucas and Quintus were seen trying out various instruments.
According to passers-by who had spotted the star in the shop, Cecilia was heard constantly reminding her two sons to refrain from touching their faces. She was also equipped with hand sanitiser that she passed to the boys whenever she felt they needed it.
As it turns out, Lucas and Quintus were looking to buy a new bass guitar, and finally decided on a pale green one after much discussion. Cecilia also bought a new tee for Lucas, while her younger brother and Quintus picked out an amplifier together.
They left the shop after 45 minutes of shopping, with Lucas carrying the brand new guitar. When contacted for a comment, Cecilia’s manager shared that the family had gone shopping for Quintus’s birthday present. The birthday boy had turned 10 on May 12.
“'Cos his older brother’s currently learning the guitar, Quintus wants to start a band with him. So he wanted a bass guitar for his birthday this year,” her manager said.
