You're never too old to be a dad. Just ask Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu who became a father at age 48 when his 32-year-old wife Chinese actress Cecilia Liu Shishi gave birth to their son on Saturday (April 27).

But it wasn't the couple who broke the happy news. Nicky’s friend gave the scoop to Apple Daily saying: “Shishi has given birth. Please wait for official news.”.

At 7.36am this morning (April 29), the actor took to Weibo to confirm the birth of his son. The little one has arrived. Both mother and son are safe, thanks everyone for your concern! Dearest mum, you’ve worked hard!”

In response to his post, Cecilia happily replied,” The little one is extremely cute.

According to Apple Daily, a reader had spotted the couple admitting into a Taipei hospital on Saturday morning.

Prior to giving birth, Shishi had announced that she would not be accepting any projects due to her pregnancy and that she would stay at home to take care of her health.
