Old Pic Of Kris Wu With Show Luo Goes Viral; Netizens Call Them The “Scumbag Alliance”

One year and three months ago, Taiwanese singer Show Luo’s career was destroyed and his reputation beaten to a pulp after his scorned ex-girlfriend, Chinese influencer Grace Chow, posted a damning essay about his philandering ways.

Now, it’s Chinese pop idol Kris Wu’s turn to be on the chopping block. The former EXO member, 30, was recently accused of sexual misconduct by 18-year-old Du Meizhu (who’s also a Chinese influencer, by the way).

Although both Kris and his agency have released statements denying all the claims, the disgraced singer-actor still lost multiple endorsement deals and fell out of favour with the ruthless public.

The scandal also earned him comparisons to Show, 41. Some netizens even dug out an old picture of the two men posing together (see below), which was dubbed “The Photo of the Century”. They were also labelled the “Scumbag Alliance”.

Other comments include “They’re a perfect match”, “These two people should get out of China together”, “Brothers in hardship”, and the hilarious “Masters of time management”.

Some even suggested that Kris was even worse than Show since the latter was still at least brave enough to admit to his mistakes and never tried to drug and assault underage girls, which is one of the allegations levelled against Kris.

Another controversial celeb whose link to Kris was brought up was Zheng Shuang. The Chinese actress was accused by her ex-boyfriend of abandoning their two children, who were born via surrogacy, in the United States earlier this year.

The two of them previously appeared on variety show BLK 946 together, and Zheng Shuang, 29, once described her relationship with Kris as “siblings in hardship”.

This amused many netizens, who called it a “prophecy of God” since they really ended up getting into trouble just months apart.

Even Kris’ former bandmate, EXO’s Chanyeol, was not spared from being pulled into the conversation, and his own old scandal became a trending topic on Weibo.

In October last year, someone claiming to be the South Korean star’s ex-girlfriend claimed that he cheated on her with over 10 other people during their three-year relationship. However, Chanyeol’s management agency announced in May this year that they have taken legal action against those who had spread false rumours about him.

Nevertheless, fans of Chanyeol were not pleased with his past news being dragged up again like that. Some even suspected that Kris’ supporters were the ones responsible for bringing it up in an attempt to cover up their idol’s controversy.
