Taiwanese actor Patrick Lee has personally responded to recent speculations that he bullied Elvin Ng when they worked together a few years ago.

In the latest episode of Mediacorp talk show The Inner Circle, Elvin revealed that he was treated badly by one of his co-stars on the set of a drama they were filming in KL. Shenanigans included deliberately trying to make Elvin forget his lines, or making disrespectful comments during emotional scenes.

Although he didn’t name any names, he mentioned that the perpetrator was a veteran Taiwanese actor who was playing his older brother, and netizens surmised that he was referring to Patrick.

The pair played brothers in 2018’s Gifted, which was shot in Malaysia, so the clues seemed to add up.

However, Patrick’s management agency quickly came forward to deny the rumours, saying that “the truth will speak for itself” and that it was “difficult to believe” that he would behave in such a way.

Then, on Saturday (Apr 10), Patrick himself took to social media to fight back, and while he doesn’t directly mention Elvin, it’s pretty obvious who he was talking about.

“A Taiwanese person who is all ‘alone’ in a place that is ‘full’ of Singaporeans… bullying a Singaporean?! Where is the logic? If you were the Taiwanese person, would you do that? Congratulations, you have become a little more famous!”
