Popular Tibetan Singer Juenainiang Maoji And 5 Of Her Family Members Killed In Car Crash

Tributes have poured in after a popular Tibetan singer was killed in a car crash during a family trip.
According to a netizen, Juenainiang Maoji, who is from the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province, was driving with her parents, son, and two nephews on July 26 when they met with an accident. All six died in the crash.
Though there were no details of how the accident occurred, the tragedy was particularly shocking as Juenainiang Maoji had shared snippets of her trip on Douyin just days ago.

Though Juenainiang Maoji is not well known in Chinese showbiz, she has performed at local performing arts clubs and is loved by the Tibetan people.
She is best remembered for songs like ‘Shepherd Girl’ and ‘Song of Happiness’, as well as her beautiful voice and bright smile.

Fans and friends were stunned by the news of her sudden passing and took to social media to post messages of condolence.
“I can’t believe that she is gone. I hope she can find peace in another world,” wrote one netizen, while another said: “Rest in peace. Your beautiful voice will forever remain in our world.”
A close friend of the singer said: “Sis, rest in peace. May there be no sickness in heaven. We will miss you. We can no longer see you and can only pray for you and see your works online.”
