Raymond Lam married Chinese model Carina Zhang in 2019 and has tried his best to keep his relationship off the radar despite the tabloids’ persistent attempts. But if Chinese media’s reports are true, the actor will be lifting the veil of secrecy on his marriage on the latest season of popular travel programme Viva La Romance.

1 of 2 The couple hasn't attended many events together

The series sees celeb wives travel together, while their respective husbands stay put in a room together and observe the ladies’ adventures. Past seasons of the reality show have featured stars like Anita Yuen, Zhang Ziyi, Miriam Yeung and Xie Na. The cast list for the current and fifth season, which started filming on Feb 24, has been kept secret for now.

Of course, it’s hard to keep a secret if you’re filming in public. A netizen shared on Weibo that they saw Raymond and Carina filming Viva La Romance, which has led to a lively debate on social media.

“There have been plenty of fake rumours in the past,” one netizen recalled. “Jay Chou, Hannah Quinlivan, Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy have been speculated to be part of the show its first season. Let’s take this report with a grain of salt until there’s proof of them really filming it.”

Another added, “Raymond’s always been low-key about his marriage. It would be great if he decided to open up with this show. I’m curious to know what Carina is like, especially since we don’t know much about her.”
