Singaporean Singer A-Do’s Cute 5-Year-Old Son Paid Him A Visit In The Recording Studio
The 48-year-old singer said that would not have been possible if we weren't living in a pandemic.
Remember A-Do? The Singapore singer, known for his husky, three-packs-of-cigarattes-a-day vocals, shot to fame in the noughties with hit songs such as 'Dark', ‘He Loves You Very Much’ and ‘Perseverance’. In the early 2010s, he quietly disappeared from showbiz, reportedly because he was suffering from severe depression.
The 48-year-old made his big comeback in 2018, sharing that he had originally meant to release an album in 2015 but had to delay his plans because his mum fell ill. He also revealed that he suffered from panic attacks and had trouble being in front of huge crowds.
Thankfully, those days are behind him. He was a guest at Hong Junyang’s recent Singapore concert, and has also released a new song, ‘Wei Ai Er Zhan’ (loosely translated as 'Fighting For The Sake Of Love').
In an interview with Taiwanese media, A-Do shared that he hopes that the song will encourage those who are going through difficult situations because there is always hope however dire their circumstances might be.
He also let on that he has been spending his past year in Singapore due to the pandemic and the silver lining of it all is that he has been able to spend more time with his wife and their five-year-old son, whose nickname is ‘Do Do’.
The singer said: “I made sure that my schedule was cleared on March 11 [Ed: that's A-do's birthday] so that I could have a meal with my family, and that felt great.”
Another plus point of being in Singapore? His adorable son could also pay him a surprise visit him at the recording studio — something that wouldn’t have been possible if he was in Taiwan.
“I was still working late at night but my wife took him to see me,” A-Do chuckled. “I was really touched because it was way past his bedtime but he chose to see his dad instead of going to bed.”
