Someone Asked Bosco Wong About His Ex-Girlfriend Myolie Wu And It Got Really Awkward
The couple split up seven years ago but there are still people who are damn kaypoh about it.
Hongkong stars Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong haven’t been a couple since 2012 but their tumultuous eight-year relationship was one for the ages. And even though Myolie is now married to a dashing businessman and has two sons, there are still people who can’t seem to get over the fact that TVB’s former golden couple is no more.
Bosco, 38, is now starring in Chinese variety show Tourists Please Take Note which sees a group of celebs form a tour group with a bunch of regular people. In one ep, Bosco loses a challenge and had to take questions from the rest of the group as a forfeit. It was all fun and games until one of the ordinary folks — a girl named Seeya— bravely, or should we say cluelessly asked: “How do you feel about Myolie Wu now?”
The minute that question was uttered, an awkward look washed over the faces of the entire group. Bosco, on the other hand, paused for two seconds before saying gallantly: “I wish her all the best.”
Sensing that things have gotten awkward, the rest of the group tried to smooth things over by saying: “Is that even worth asking? What a waste of a question” and “She (Myolie) is already married, and that’s normal.”
Shockingly, Seeya, who clearly wasn’t feeling the vibe of the room, then complained that Bosco’s answer was too “politically correct”. “I thought he was going to say something different,” she whined. She was about to repeat her question when Bosco quickly brushed her off by saying, “No, what’s over is over.” The actor, who is still single, then stressed that he is really very happy about how well Myolie is doing now.
Later when the rest of the celebs were interviewed about what had happened, they said that they felt bad for Bosco and complained about how insensitive Seeya was.
Seeya, wouldn’t want to be ya.
