Remember Edward Sun (also known as Sun An Tso), the son of Taiwanese actors Sun Peng and Di Ying who was arrested for threatening to carry out a school shooting in the United States two years ago? Well, it appears he recently had another run-in with the cops.

On March 11, the 20-year-old updated his Instagram with a photo of himself driving without a shirt on, explaining that he usually ends up like this when he’s going home from the gym as it’s too hot (definitely a #humblebrag).

His followers soon flooded the comments section with praises for his physique, a few thirsty remarks (“I want to be your seatbelt” is our favourite), and concerned questions.

“You’re too crazy, what would the police do?” asked one, to which Edward replied, “To be honest, I was pulled over for a blood alcohol test while looking like this. I’m fine, but the police were pretty shocked.”

Edward made headlines in 2018 when he was accused of planning a mass shooting at a Catholic high school in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, where he was enrolled as an exchange student. He said he was just kidding, but the police found weapons and over 1,600 rounds of ammunition in his room, and he was taken into custody.

Edward pleaded guilty to charges of making terroristic threats and possession of ammunition, and served time before being deported from the States and permanently barred from re-entry.

Upon his return to Taipei, Edward was questioned by authorities in Taiwan and released without bail — but not before being slapped with travel restrictions that forbid him from leaving the country.

Not long after this fiasco came to an end, Edward opened a personal Instagram account, and seems to have been spending a lot of his time working out and showing off the fruits of his labour.
