TVB actor Tony Hung, 37, and model-actress Inez Leong, 33, had their wedding on Sunday (Jul 11), and the happy couple had one really big piece of news to share on their big day: they’re having a baby.

During the wedding, reporters asked Tony to clarify those rumours about Inez being pregnant, and surprise, surprise, he confirmed that she really is expecting and will give birth to their first kid in December.

The couple has been vocal about wanting children since Tony proposed in February, but “didn’t think [they] would [succeed] this quickly”.

Netizens had long suspected that Inez has a bun in the oven as they felt like the couple was rushing into marriage. They had been dating for two years when Tony proposed.

At that time, when asked if it was a shotgun marriage, all Tony said was that “having a family brings more happiness” and many saw that as an indirect admission that they were becoming parents soon.

The couple's wedding ceremony, which was held at the six-star Rosewood Hotel in Hongkong, was only attended by 50 guests due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Tony’s mother was also unable to attend the ceremony as she lives in Taiwan, and Tony didn’t want her to undergo the 21-day quarantine.

Inez’s relatives from Macau also couldn't make it to the wedding. As such, the couple will only hold their wedding banquet when the pandemic situation is under control.
