Taiwanese actor Vic Chou tied the knot with Taiwanese actress Reen Yu in 2015, with the couple welcoming a baby daughter a year later.

The couple has preferred to keep their love life private, rarely uploading pictures together on social media. Reen has also taken a step back from the spotlight to care for their daughter.

However, Taiwanese reports published this week have shed light on their relationship, revealing that Vic recently purchased an apartment worth a whopping S$8.5mil as a present for Reen.

The 1819 sq ft apartment is said to be on the 16th floor of a residential building in Dunnan, Taipei and reportedly costs NT$1.35mil (S$60,000) per square metre.

Reporters discovered that the property was registered under the name of “an individual with the surname Yu”, which led them to conclude that Vic had purchased the apartment under Reen’s name.

This particular residential building is said to be hot property for businessmen looking to invest in real estate. And it's apparently favoured by other stars too. Taiwanese actor Chang Chen reportedly lives there too, making him Vic and Reen’s neighbour.
