Wallace Huo Sends Food Truck To His “Beautiful Wife” Ruby Lin On The Set Of Her New Drama
Another great way to shut down unflattering speculations about the state of their marriage.
Here’s another point for the ‘Things Are Going Smoothly’ column of Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo’s public marriage scorecard. For those who don’t know, the Taiwanese celeb couple has been dogged by divorce rumours a lot lately ‘cos they don’t exactly display Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan levels of PDA, but they usually also manage to silence any unflattering talk just as easily.
Yesterday (Nov 19), Ruby, who is currently filming her new drama Light the Night, posted several photos of the snacks and beverages that she has been lovingly bombarded with on set, courtesy of her many generous pals.
The goodies in her post include pearl barley soup from Esther Liu, red bean cakes from Jason Tsou and Melvin Sia, and bubble tea from Alec Su. However, the most attention-grabbing gift was undoubtedly the oden food truck from Wallace (and not just ‘cos it was bright pink).
The van came with a banner that reads: “Please eat warm oden and feel warmth in your heart. Wishing the most beautiful wife and the producers a smooth-sailing shoot for Light the Night!” The message even came with a picture of the 40-year-old actor as the Qianlong Emperor in his 2018 drama Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace.
“Thank you for the oden, Emperor. How warm,” Ruby gushed in a hashtag with the red heart emoji. Yup, it looks like that big quarrel they got into last month is well and truly behind them.
Ruby and Wallace tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed their daughter, nicknamed ‘Little Dolphin’, the following year. While they had everyone swooning over how sweet their relationship seemed at first, speculations that there was actually trouble in paradise eventually started to pop up, with reports even claiming that they have already separated.
The gossip even led haters to leave nasty comments on Ruby’s socials, such as “I look forward to the end of your failed marriage” (how charming, eh?). However, she had an impressively calm response, writing: “I urge you to be kind, what you say is very important! If you have too much free time, you can go and recite sutras.”
