Netizens who want to continue digging up and spreading juicy but nasty gossip about Taiwanese-American singer Wilber Pan and his new wife, Chinese flight attendant Luna Xuan, may want to think twice about that.

Just days after Wilber made the sudden announcement about his marriage, all kinds of supposed ‘insiders’ took to social media to make all sorts of claims about Luna, accusing her of lying about her age and exposing her past as a nightclub DJ.

Well, just like Show Luo, Wilber certainly isn’t going to take any of that lying down. On July 29, the 39-year-old’s work studio posted a lawyer’s letter on Weibo demanding an apology from rumour-mongers and asking them to refrain from sharing anymore malicious reports about Luna.

1 of 3 Wilber Pan means business

The letter states that after Wilber’s marriage announcement, several internet users carried out personal attacks against him and Luna by releasing derogatory and defamatory remarks, causing great damage to their personal character and reputations. It also called out netizens who reposted and circulated the gossip despite being aware of their harmful intent.

Those who started the rumours are ordered to immediately cease and desist, take down their vilifying posts, and issue a public apology to Wilber and Luna. If they fail to stop circulating more unfavourable news about the couple, their actions will no longer be tolerated and they will be held accountable by law. In other words, get ready to be brought to court.

2 of 3 Yup, he really means business

Quite a number of Wilber’s fans suggested that he should also sue Wang Sicong, the 32-year-old Chinese businessman — and son of Dalian Wanda Group’s billionaire founder Wang Jianlin — whose WeChat Moments post about Luna and Aaron Kwok’s wife Moka Fang is said to be the spark that lit the fuse of furious public opinion and inspired others to become internet sleuths and gossip mongers.

According to long-time supporters of Wilber, this is the first time he has ever resorted to releasing a lawyer’s letter in his almost 20-year-long career.
